Selemat Datang everyone.
My name is Dianne and I live in Fremantle, Western Australia. Being so close to the beautiful island of Bali we Western Australians treat it as our playground. Hundreds of thousands of us flock to the warm lush country with its beautiful friendly and welcoming people every year.
Since 1980 I have been lucky enough to travel 10 times to holiday in this very happy little island.
On my second visit in 1983 ,with my family in tow this time, we were very fortunate enough to pick up a bemo, not unlike any others, from a roadside verge. The driver we hired was Wayan Arsana, at first a little shy and apologetic about his English, which by the islands standards was well above average.

Wayan was so excited and keen to show us his country in a way that no other tourists get the privilege to experience.
He became our exclusive tour guide and opened his heart and even his family home to us , mere strangers from another country, and became the catalyst for our love affair with his beautiful Bali.
Each time we went back, after contacting him beforehand, he would be there at the airport waiting for us with a mile wide smile and open arms. A noticeable change had happened to our Wayan, he had become confident successful, his English flawless, his eagerness to please even more so apparent.
Over the years we communicated by phone, mail and visits and as our children grew they also grew to love Wayan and trust him. This led to him caring for them when as young Australians they ventured out on their own in groups to holiday and play in Bali, knowing all along that although their parents weren’t there to watch over them they had someone to turn to in case of trouble.
I am returning to Bali in October this year after a 7 year gap. I know I will be excited by the changes and the growth, I will be saddened by the recent history of turmoil and young Australian lives lost but I will be absolutely 100% sure that I have someone who I now call “friend” whom I can trust to be my guide and advisor once again when my feet touch that beautiful Island of Bali.
I personally and highly recommend this gentle family man who has now over 25 years experience of making sure that foreign visitors to his land are made to feel welcome, safe, educated and just absolutely delighted that they chose Wayan Arsana as their guide. He will find a way into your hearts that will make your visit to Bali a time to remember.
Hei teman! Selemat tinggal

Hi there,
It’s the six of us from ‘down under’ Melbourne Australia.
We would just like to say thanks and express our appreciation to Wayan our tour guide.

He picked us up from the airport without delay, taking us to our hotel and also provided a great service throughout our entire trip.
By giving us his mobile number, Wayan made sure we could ring up and arrange trips whenever and wherever.
Our trips included an enjoyable trip to the volcano, out to lunch and a few days visiting friends in the country. He also knows all the great shopping spots.
We would definitely use his services again and recommend him to other travelers. No worries at all.
Thanks Wayan
All The Best,
Jim, Yvonne, Bob. Lyn, Bev & Lynn

I just returned from a short four days in Bali. I spent three of them with Wayan. He was my private driver and tour guide for seeing this most unique and amazing island culture. I’ve traveled all over Asia and must admit that Wayan made this the most memorable of all my travel experiences. Two minutes after we left the busy hotel beachfront, we were immersed in the rice fields and natural beauty of Bali.

I had told Wayan that I wanted to see the culture and daily life of the Balinese people as well as the natural beauty of the island. I got this and so much more. He speaks English very clearly, was sensitive to my interests and desires, and was a true professional in sharing his island paradise with me. Our three days together provided a steady dialogue on history, traditions, beliefs, arts, culture, economics, etc.
Upon arriving in Bali, I discovered that there are only two ways to see the island. Join a tour group, or hire a driver. I hired Wayan. His rates were less than any of the tours or hotel taxis I saw, and very reasonable at that! I soon discovered that I had hired a professional tour guide, not just a driver. He led me to authentic food, temples and ceremonies in local villages, scenic views and took me on a private walk to an incredible waterfall. He recommended restaurants and evening entertainment and shared aspects of his culture that only a native could provide. My only regret was that I did not have more time. If you are after an authentic Balinese experience, do contact Wayan. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks so very much for helping to give my family such a wonderful time in your beautiful Bali island. The places you brought us to gave my family a good understanding of the Balinese culture, its people, its beautiful countryside, its wonderful beaches, and of course brought us to places where the “Great Bali Sale” is always on! You were always courteous and never rushed us, yet got us to the next station in time. It was a great two and half-days for us. We especially liked the Jimbaran seafood place you brought us to, called Intan Sari restaurant, I think. The red snapper, squids, jumbo prawns, etc., were fresh and yummy, prices reasonable, and the ambience - priceless. Too bad I couldn’t make it in the evening time to view sunset while having seafood dinner. But, doing it in the afternoon sun under a giant umbrella on prime beach front with our feet shoeless and rubbing in the sand – this is some eating experience we won’t forget so easily. We also want to thank you for accommodating us without any fuss, to bring us to places I requested such as the Gitgit waterfalls and Uluwatu. Picturesque scenes ! And for you guys reading this - hesitate no more if you are going to Bali . Get a driver cum guide, and it’s Wayan Arsana. Give him a call or email (he replies his mails very promptly – after he’s back home from his busy day). His mobile: +628123801162 / balivandriver@gmail.com.. I never knew Wayan before this, but now I can call upon someone when I return to Bali.
Terima kasih,
Richard
